2027 Election: VDM Sparks Outrage, Declares Tinubu Unbeatable and Smarter Than Obasanjo

Controversial Nigerian activist and social media influencer, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has ignited heated reactions across the country after boldly predicting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the 2027 general election — no matter the opposition. In his now-viral video, VDM hailed Tinubu as the most intelligent politician Nigeria has ever produced, ranking him above even former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

In the video, VDM didn’t hold back. With his characteristic bluntness, he asserted that the opposition is not desperate or strategic enough to unseat President Tinubu, and as such, the 2027 election is already a foregone conclusion.

“Tinubu is smart, but Nigerians always underestimate him, and that’s the mistake. The opposition isn’t willing to risk it all. This man is the greatest politician in Nigeria — yes, even over Obasanjo. That Jagaban they call him, don’t play with him,” VDM declared.

He went further to dismiss the prospects of key opposition figures, Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing them as politically unprepared and outclassed.

“Peter Obi and Atiku should rest until 2031 — and even that one is not certain. If they keep underestimating Tinubu, they’re not going anywhere.”

While maintaining that his views were based on a critical political analysis rather than allegiance, VDM accused many Nigerians of being too emotional and sentimental to accept the political realities in the country.

“This is not about support. Nigerians are too emotional to hear the truth. Once you tell them something they don’t like, they say you’ve sold out,” he added.

The video has since gone viral, triggering sharp reactions online. While some supporters applauded VDM’s frankness and acknowledged Tinubu’s political influence, others condemned his remarks as disrespectful and dismissive of public discontent.

VDM’s comments have now reopened debates about 2027 — a full two years ahead of the polls — raising questions about whether Nigeria’s opposition truly has the strategy or unity required to challenge the sitting president.

As it stands, the nation watches closely, not just for the opposition’s next move, but for what Tinubu himself will make of this unsolicited endorsement.
