VeryDarkMan Offers ₦12 Million Reward for Evidence in Mohbad Assault Case, Vows to Uncover Truth

Popular social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has launched a fresh probe into the late singer Mohbad’s controversial assault and death, offering a combined ₦12 million reward to anyone with critical footage or identities of individuals involved in the harassment during the singer’s music video shoot.

In a video released on his social media handle, VeryDarkMan exposed a chilling moment from the past — showing music promoter Sam Larry storming Mohbad’s music video set while clutching a metal object. The footage, which quickly triggered widespread reactions online, appears to confirm allegations that Mohbad had been physically intimidated before his tragic death in September 2023.

VDM, in his post, announced a reward of ₦10 million for anyone who can provide full footage of the assault or additional scenes from the music video shoot that could further unravel what happened. He also pledged an additional ₦2 million to anyone who can identify the two women seen pushing Mohbad and Zlatan Ibile in wheelchairs on set — footage many now believe was symbolic of the bullying Mohbad endured.

“We cannot allow this case to be buried. I’m ready to run a parallel investigation if that’s what it will take. Justice for Mohbad must not be swept under,” he declared.

This fresh move comes in the wake of mounting public frustration over the lack of accountability in the late singer’s case. Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Aloba, had spoken several times before his death about facing threats and harassment — often hinting at physical abuse, including incidents involving Sam Larry, a close associate of another big-name artist.

Reacting to VDM’s latest action, several Nigerians took to the comment section to express support, while others accused him of seeking attention or cashing in on the tragedy. VDM fired back, stating unequivocally that he doesn’t care about popularity or criticism.

“This is not about likes or followers. I don’t need anyone’s approval. What I want is justice for Mohbad. Let the truth come out,” he insisted.

The activist also addressed accusations that he was being paid to stay quiet, strongly refuting them, and reaffirming his commitment to exposing all those allegedly involved in Mohbad’s suffering and suspicious death.

His renewed campaign comes just days after Karimot, Mohbad’s sister-in-law, released fresh evidence — including photos showing bruises on the late artist’s body and a voice note where Mohbad described his abuse in detail.

Adding fuel to the fire, VDM recently clashed with superstar Davido, who shaded him over comments about celebrities flaunting extravagant lifestyles. VDM didn’t hold back — throwing public jabs at the singer and asserting that justice cannot be bought with popularity.

While official investigations into Mohbad’s death remain inconclusive, VDM’s ₦12 million bounty has reignited public interest and calls for justice. With more eyes now on the case, the question remains: Will this bold reward uncover the truth, or will Nigeria once again witness justice delayed — or denied?

Need for Update:
This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as new evidence surfaces or as NAPTIP, the police, or other authorities respond to the activist’s claims.
